Combined Career Buildings = no career opps Help

So there are some worlds I would like to play, but they have the those combined career buildings where two career rabbit holes are placed. This makes the career opps go away in my game.  How do I make the opportunities come back?  If this is in the wrong forum, or there is already a post on this I'm sorry.  Unfortunately the keywords I was searching for also turn up lots of other things.  Thanks

So far there has not been a fix for this problem. Best thing to do is replace the combined buildings with two single buildings using Edit Town. You will have to use separate lots for each building, so if you have a lot that is way to big for a single building, you can remove that lot and replace it with smaller ones, so that you can place the two buildings near each other.

This is a problem that has been around for quite some time. There is currently no fix except to replace the combined rabbitholes with the corresponding single rabbitholes, unless you're willing to reinstall your game and lose several patch levels (I do not recommend this).
