I've reset my game and the computer, and my CPU is running at 83%, so my issues aren't tied to overloading the memory. No cc, no mods. Once opened via launcher, once opened via launcher bypass.
When I switch to buy mode, the camera works fine until I actually try to buy something. If I click on an item and start to place it, buy mode grinds to a halt and everything freezes. The hand freezes in a "gripped" state, even when I let go, and the green box that's usually under the item being placed moves jerkily around the screen on its own until finally everything stops and I can switch back to live mode.
How do I fix it? What's going on?
Edit to add: Objects that were bought before this glitch turned up are completely unaffected, so I thought that maybe once they were placed, new objects would be okay. But even if I manage to place a new object, when I pick it back up, it lags and jerks around again.
Edit 2: It doesn't happen if the object is outside, unless the object is a counter.
