Problems saving

Please help. I'm having trouble saving.

It keeps coming up with an error message
'Sims 3 had stopped working'

'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available'

It's done this 3 times now. But had let me save inbetween.


So frustrating, any help will be greatly received.

Are your settings too high for your computer to handle? Try lowering the settings and see what happens.

Before you save have you recently been building?  Do you have rain turned on in your game?

How do I lower settings?

Yes I was building & when I save it brings up that message. I've done lots of building & had no problem before.

I've got seasons loaded & it's winter with snow.

There is a bug where rain puddles on a property sometimes don't actually disappear then when you build there and try to save the game will crash.  It's random on what property it will happen.

To change settings, you go to the same menu you save from and click on options. There you will find an array of settings to toggle with.

Go to edit town, evict your sims with their lot, and bulldoze the house. Place them down again. It'll be like nothing happened, but you should be able to save after building without it crashing.
