I decided to play a new game with just one sim, Colin, so I could more quickly experience and master gardening and fishing, make my sim immortal, and generally skill up to eventually head to WA. It was never my plan to get Colin married, but it became apparent that harvesting produce was taking too much of his day, leaving little time for other activities.
As my game had been going around 30 days, I figured the best way to find available young women was just to frequent public places like the central park. It was while I was there that I noticed Bebe Hart. Colin seemed to hit it off right away, and she looked pretty good too.
She was still only a young adult and single so I checked her on the wiki. I figured that a couple of insane parents couldn't really hurt! Colin was going to offer her immortality, how could she refuse?! The next day they were married in a private ceremony, and Bebe launched straight into her new gardening life. Colin mixed up some Ambrosia, and she was a fully young adult again.
A couple of days later Colin was out fishing by the sea. The game was playing on the second speed. Every now and then I kept checked back to make sure Bebe was all right. By now her gardening skill was 9, but it still took quite a while to harvest and tend to all the plants. Later I saw she was reading a book.
Colin had finished for the day, so I sent him back home. I noticed he had an interaction with Bebe lined up which I thought was odd. I hovered over it and saw that he was going to accuse her of cheating! I thought Colin must be getting paranoid. I couldn't see how she had any time to be unfaithful. I desperately tried to cancel Collins interaction, but I guess you're not allowed to cancel those...
So Colin challenged her, and everything turned bad. Bebe tried to make up, but Colin just wasn't interested. I checked her social, and to my surprise she did indeed have a romantic interest! Colin felt betrayed, and I felt she had betrayed my trust too!
Now I'm unsure how to proceed. Should there be a divorce, so Colin can find someone more faithful? Should they try to make up and put it behind them? Should I intervene so that her romantic interest has an accident? Or should I make Bebe suffer? Colin wanted to be mean to her, but so far I haven't let him...
What would you do, or what have you done in similar situations? I must admit, the whole episode was totally unexpected, but quite entertaining! :-)
