Aurora Skies what is it like?
« on: March 08, 2013, 06:39:17 PM »
I am still on the fence about spending the bucks on Aurora Skies.   For those who have it, what do you like about it and what don't you like?  So far I have found little info here of what the town is like and so am hoping to get a better idea of what to expect.

So, what do you see as pluses and as minuses in this town.

Is this a town for a counry or city gal?  Is it the party town or the family town?  Bright lights or quiet restful evenings sitting on the porch chatting with neighbors?
Or is it in the middle, a little bit of both, but lean more to one type and if so which type?

I just got Aurora Skies a few days ago and am playing in it.  It's a small, sleepy town.  Not a big, busy city at all.  It's peaceful and serene with a beautiful lake, mountains, and the Aurora Borealis in the night sky.  It has a Skandinavian feel to it with many Sims who have blonde hair and blue eyes.  The exterior of the houses is bright, and the interior seems a little plain.  There's also an abundance of orange cats.

We actually do have a thread dedicated to Aurora Skies that you might find helpful.  I'm going to merge this thread with it so everything will be in one place.

Thanks Pam,

I had read through it, a couple of times, but I didn't see a lot of "I have it now, this is what I think" type of posts.  Or at least enough to give me an idea of what it will be like.  Since it has been out a while I figured some had had a chance to play it and would have a better outtake on what it was like.  I did read a story of two couples, on one of the threads.  The last time I read it the two women had babies one a set of twins, the other a girl.  One of them had a baby boy earlier, named him Mon :)
A good story, but not a personal opinion of how they personally feel about the town.  There seems to be threads about new expansions packs, first imprression of such and such town, but not one of Aurora Skies.
Am I sounding whinny?  Sorry if so, I am getting over a stomach virus, bug or whatever you want to call it, and still feel lousy, chest muscles still sore from thowing up.

No worries, Janna.  I think you're right and it wouldn't hurt to have another topic about what players think of it now that it's out.  I restored your original thread and just put it on the Towns and Townies board.

I'd be interested in hearing more about it too.  I'm on the fence, though I will likely get it.  If I do, I'll post my thoughts here!
