Vacation Home Fridge
« on: July 08, 2010, 11:00:47 AM »
Does your vacation home fridge lose it's contents when you come back?

I had stored some good meals and a good compliment of ingredients (5 perfect of everything you can grow not counting omni plant fishing). When I came back to France, the fridge is back to the basics (3 normal quality lettuce, cheese, links, and eggs). I guess I'll get rid of my French garden if I can't store anything.

I've had a lot of travel problems, but not that one.  The leftovers in the fridge were still there when my sims next went to France.  I haven't tried storing anything other than leftovers in the fridge, but I can't see any reason for it to be different.  However, I have had stuff disappear from both personal inventory and family inventory during a trip.

Strange... maybe they spoiled or something right before you left, and the game cleans it out itself...? Next time take the leftovers with you. :)

I doubt my harvested items went bad. Even still, it respawned the base fridge contents (links, cheese, etc) that I sold.

I guess the moodlets aren't that important since they have almost everything. I just threw away 40,000 points on that stupid simbot; what a waste. I kicked her out after 4 days.

This might be interesting. The person who called for the trip wasn't the same as the one who did last time, and when I got to France, it asked me if I wanted to use the base camp or my vacation home, as though it wasn't sure. It even quoted me a price for my house, but didn't charge me when I decided to use it. Is this normal? This is my first vacation home. If I bought a vacation home, why would I go back to base camp?

I'll try some more variations and see what happens.

jd, whenever I've gone to a vacation home, and this is with a single Sim I'd been playing for quite some time, it always asked me if I wanted to use base camp or the vacation home.  I love that mansion on the hill near the fishing spot.  The deserted nectary one.  I had put some grapes I harvested in the fridge and they were still there, but I did not have a garden of produce that I had planted yet.  Just stuff I'd brought with me in my inventory from "home".  My inventory was still fine and I never stocked the fridge so don't know if that would have happened to me as well or not.  Oh, and the frogs and crawfish were still there as well.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!
