Using more updated saves with older Sims 3

Hi,

I recently had to uninstall and reinstall my Sims 3 because it would stop and lag when I fast forwarded.

I backed up my saves and have tried to get them to work on this older version of Sims 3.

Will I have to update again to get my saves to work, or is there a way around it?

Welcome to the site Boruku.

When you say "older version", do you mean that you have not updated to the latest patch, or that you have not installed one or more of your EP's.  Either of these would affect games saved with the latest patch or more Ep's.

If you could explain what you mean by "older version", it may be easier to help you.
