Question on deleting rabbit holes and replacing them

Some of the rabbit holes in MF from Supernatural are just down-right boring and I don't ever see sims there, not like you do in SV or in RV.

I added the Bistro, bookstore and movie theater from SV; then added the military base; but am wondering about the original buildings, that my doing so can cause problems. 

I added the saloon from AP to be a criminal headquarters, but then realized that the movie theater is supposed to be the one in MF.   Does it matter, can there be two of them, or do I need to remove the saloon, or should I remove the movie theater of MF and leave the saloon from AP and the movie theater from SV? 

I want to come up with a layout that fits the area, what a small town or village would be like, yet isn't as boring as what is there.

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to your question, but I've wondered too!  I was just modifying one of my towns pretty heavily and ended up with two military bases (I kept the SV one, Fort Gnome, and then added the city hall/police/militaryHQ from Moonlight Falls because I liked that building better.  So far, it's not been a problem to have both, but I've been building and modifying more than playing so who knows?

Shouldn't matter - there's two different culinary careers in most towns due to both the Diner and the Bistro, with cooking classes, and that doesn't seem to affect anything.

I haven't had any issues deleting rabbit holes and replacing them. To make space in Bridgeport for other venues, I deleted Plumbob and replaced it with a smaller studio somewhere else. I deleted the hospital and science center and replaced them with a combination hospital/science center. I replaced the school with a combination school/sport arena , so I could put the Showtime lot where the sport arena was. Then with the showtime venue (which also acts as the theater for music career), I was able to delete the move theater and used that place for a high rise apartment with 3 bedrooms.

I have 2 rabbit hole lots that contain all of the major rabbit holes.  One I use the Lunar Lakes portals and the other a mod.  Then I delete all the rabbit holes in the game and just use one lot for all.  It really frees up space in the hood for building.  I also use the Equestrian gate rabbit hole and put that on the horse ranch lot and have that combined so I can get rid of the Equestrian center.  I've never had any trouble at all.
