I need to fade objects, but the cheat isn't working. Maybe I need a mod.

I love my sim's house, I took lots of time to create it. But there's a problem... I added Overhead Cabinet and since they don't fade (ever) they don't let me see my sims actions well. I tried the cheat (fadeObjects), but didn't work. Is there a Mod that can help me?

Would you consider just deleting the overhead cabinets?
