Teen Portraits
« on: December 31, 2012, 03:40:12 PM »
I've noticed that my teen portraits aren't centered, the game won't let me either, my teens allows end up at the bottom of the painting with the scene on top. Any tricks on how to fix this?

My favorite trick is the tab trick and I use it for all portraits, not just the teenager ones.    Before your painting Sim turns towards their subject and the gold frame pops up.  Hit tab.   Once the gold frame pops up, hit tab again to untab and you can now move around with freedom to take any type of painting you want.   You can always use tab again to get in close.

This is an example of the  tabbed portraits at work.  This is the second half of my Generation 7 Immortal's museum.  I was able to use Tab to get in really close on her face because I just loved the look of her eyes and that's the part I wanted to capture.

You can use tab on the portrait option of painting?! Today I learned!  ;D That'll make all my portrait stuff so much easier...

It has to be before the painting frame pops up.  It's very specific timing.  Just remember that and it should work beautifully.
