Wow, there's lot's of new builds posted today! Awesome! It feels like Christmas. Well, I guess I'll toss one out there too.
I'm sure you all recognize the doll house that child sim is playing with in that screenshot. Well, when I caught a glimpse of it from that side I thought, "why not make a full scale version of it that child can live in when she grows up." and here it is...
I took some creative license with the back half of course, since the toy version is cut away in the back. Let's peak inside, shall we?
There's the attic. You can see there's a bathroom and two bedrooms. I tested with two sims and had them both sleep in the beds together to make sure sims could get in bed on either side without complaining about the ceiling being to low and the beds work fine. I even had them sit in the desk chairs.
That is the second floor where we have two more bedrooms but no bathroom on this floor.
There's the first floor with the usual suspects, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and living room.
And there is the basement where we have two more bedrooms, another living room, a bathroom and a laundry room.
While testing this I had my sims raise a big family in this house (6 kids) and all the running up and down the stairs has brought me to the conclusion that my next build is going to be a big sprawling ranch on a big lot where sims can raise a big family all on one floor.
One caveat though, If you find the stacked stairs are giving you a problem just rotate the lot (if it's on a corner) and they'll work just fine. If you didn't put it on a corner lot then just look for an empty 30x30 lot on a road that runs perpendicular to the road you had the problem on and move it there and that should fix the stairs.
At the time of the build I only had Ambitions, Late Night and World Adventurer.
I never use any custom content or store content.
