Can't Disable Aging

Whenever I go to the option menu, the options enable/disable aging ,and sims lifetime are grayed out and I cant select either one. Please help.

Have you already created a Sim or started a game? I reinstalled all my games the other day and I had the same problem of the grayed out check mark. I created a Sim and then I was able to remove the check and disable aging.

I know I tried to go to options and disable something, I can't remember, but I was not in live mode.  I mean, I think I had gone to the neighborhood view or something and a couple those were greyed out and when I went back into my household and then went to options, it was ok.  I hope that made sense.  If that is not it, not sure then.  I have not had that problem since, but mine could have been something else, it was a suggestion though.
