Need help with CFE
« on: December 26, 2012, 10:23:42 AM »
I need some help with an issue I'm having doing CFE I've done the "constrainfloorelevation false " cheat. I've place my foundation pieces for the house. I then put up the garage walls between the house and front steps. When I do the " level terrain " I get a gap on each side garage walls. I've tried everything I could think of but nothing seems to work. I haven't done the CFE that many times so I might be missing something important. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You need to level the wall to foundation height and then put regular-height walls on top of the foundation-height walls. After that you delete the walls(6 tiles for single garage door or 10-11 tiles for two garage doors and so on) and put regular height walls back. That gives you those effects.

I was able to level one wall to the foundation height but not the other two walls. It seems as if the tool doesn't work sometimes. I know the cheat is on because I've tried it on the ground. I will try it again tomorrow and see if I can finish it and carry on with the rest of the building.  :)

Have you had a look at the garage tutorial here on the guide? It covers using the CFE cheat.

Oh ! I've never seen it. I was following the CFE Tutorial by Lilygirl. I will have a look at it and also Bookmark it for future references. Thanks so much for posting it.   :)
