Travel Activates Raw Tiberium?
« on: June 28, 2010, 11:19:02 PM »
My sim doesn't have the heart cut yet, so I'd hoped to activate the Tiberium's growth by traveling with it in inventory. Needless to say, he's sick from it. So how does one actually activate it by travel? I tried setting it down in China once, but was not allowed to pick it back up the next day.

edit: well, now I had him spire cut it, and when it returned in the mail it started making him sick again even though it was cut. Is there a safe place to set it down until he leaves for home?

You should probably keep it in their inventory. I'm not positive, but they'll probably leave it. It'll lower their mood, but they'll have to bear with it

I agree with Simstar.  Once it starts making your Sim sick, it's ready to transform.  But putting it down in a foreign country is risky because you may end up just losing it.  Once you get back home, take it out of inventory and set it on the floor or on the ground.  There's no need to cut it if your Sim is getting the sickness.  And for Tiberiums you get at home from breaking space rock blocks, they won't make your Sim sick until they are cut.  If you have heart cut available, it's a lot less expensive than the small spire cut.  Either way, when the cut gem returns, it will make your Sim sick again if it's in inventory.  So, go ahead and put even the cut ones out on the ground.

We have one or two topics about Tiberium already that may give you some help.  I know it sounds confusing, but once you experience it a couple times, it should become more clear.  :)

Ok, more than one or two.  I'm going to lock this thread since we already have too many topics on Tiberium.  You can ask any further questions on the thread of your choice.  :)
