Loading Time takes FOREVER!
« on: December 17, 2012, 06:12:31 PM »
The other day when I played my Sims saved file it loaded in about 5-7 mins. which I can handle , but after recently adding some package files it takes a LONG time to load. The expansion screen took 15 mins. and the neighborhood loading screen took about 30 mins before it began to load, and I didn't even stick around to see how long it took to fully load becuase by then I didn't want to play anymore :'( Is there any way to speed up my loading time?

How many package files did you add?  If this started after you added them, then it means that you may need to get rid of them if you want to speed it back up.

Yea I'll try to find them and see if maybe I put duplicates or something, I'm thinking I should somehow compress the package files to see if that speeds up the loading process, but I don't know how  :-\

You can combine your packages into one bigger package file. S3pe does the trick. If you don't see any difference in loading process after this... you must get rid of that packages files
