Apartment building help!!

So I'm trying to put apartments in Sunset Valley but I can't figure out what type of lot it should be, to have sims live in the building. I can't set it to community, right? But if I set it to residential it only allows one family in the building. Help!!!!!!! Thanks in advance!!!!!

Thanks!! But I'm not trying to build one, I'm trying to use the ones that come with the game. Like the ones that are in Bridgeport I want to put In Sunset Valley.

I may be wrong, but I don't think even the in game apartments are multi family. You get one playable family and the rest are NPC apartments.

The Sims 3 doesn't have apartments that house more then one family, that is only a feature in The Sims 2.
