Unhandled Exception?
« on: December 09, 2012, 08:01:46 PM »
Hi,
today when I opened Sims 3 seasons (already installed) on my Macbook Pro, it was all working like usual. I clicked which family I wanted to use and it loaded. Once I hit the end of the bar, the application closed and came up with a message that said this;
Unhandled exception 0x80000003 at address 0x0058b226
Now everytime I open it, it gets to the same spot and does the exact same thing. It gave me the option to debug or not, either one I click it still just closes all together.
I don't really have a clue what to do, as i have never really had an issue with sims, plus i can't get in contact with EA :/
Thankyou  :)

Have you checked that your computer is up to specification for Sims 3?

Hopefully, there is an easier solution than the only suggestion I have.  I retired from computer programming more than 20 years ago, but, the message "unhandled exception" in my day indicated either insufficent memory or damage to upper memory.  A lot has changed since then, and, I haven't even tried to keep pace.

I hope someone here can come up with something else, but, in the meantime, I would suggest checking your computer has sufficient memory.

Also, have you read the first sticky posted above
