Driving me nuts - which way should waves face

Sorry I accidentally deleted the first thread. Not certain how... In any case here is the subject again - I cannot figure out if the wave effect should have the waves travelling towards the land or away from the land. Both ways make sense in my head, they could be crashing into the land or they could be the after crash movement back towards the ocean! Neither way seems to look correct in game. If you know could you specify if the waves are moving towards the land or away from it, otherwise I am going to be utterly lost hah

The waves should be moving inward toward land.  It's a different deal when they are receding.

Thank you! I finally understand hah. I realised in game there are both the ocean surf and ocean surf crash! So for the waves that are crashing against a mountain I threw them both there and what do you know they are timed to work together! haha brilliant
