I want Grandchildren!

Okay, so I have two sims Kailani and Andrew. Who are going to have 17 children(All named the months and the seasons, January-December Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall and Autumn) I have 10 right now and 5 of which have been moved out of the house fir quite sometime. THEY WONT GET GIRLFRIENDS/BOYFRIENDS OR HAVE THOSE GRANDCHILDREN THAT I WANT. Why won't they lead active lives when I move them out? I really want them to get married and have children and such but they aren't! Please help!

Did you get them girl/boyfriends before they moved out, because if they are left to story progression chances are they wont get married ect.

It is very unlikely that they will get married and have children of their own accord once they move out. The way to ensure grandchildren is to have them either get their spouse to be pregnant before they move out(if males) or get pregnant before they move out(if females)

Just to cover all of the bases - if you aren't against mods there is Story Progression by Twallan. It makes all of the non-active Sims much more active.
Though obviously I have to urge you if you get it to update and be cautious as it could lag gameplay, etc.

If you're not into using mods, then you can ignore my comment and definitely try getting those children boyfriends/girlfriends before moving out and also trying to impregnate the female is the only sure-fire way to ensure grandchildren.
