Sims 3 and Windows 8

I apologize if this is the wrong thread to post this but I have recently got a new laptop with Windows 8 and I have all my sims stuff ready to be downloaded but I am apprehensive as I noticed both on the Main Sims 3 website and through just random Google searches the topic of sims maybe not working on Windows 8 due to some issues with drivers or graphic cards.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum or in general knows if I may experience any problems or if there is anything I can do should problems occur. I am missing my sims

I have a Toshiba Satellite computer L850 something or other.

Thats great to hear Gogo, I have been hearing some terrible things from people so I just wanted to confirm.
Do you have expansion packs downloaded too?

All expansion packs and stuff packs are installed, including some store content.

Perfect. Thank you! That is very reasurring to me! If anyone else has any problems or anything I hope they post...I really want to make sure everything will be fine.

I just purchased a new desktop mid November with Windows8 . I have all expansions, stuff packs and EA worlds plus tons of store contents. My sims game runs just fine. Haven't noticed anything different from Windows7.

Thanks so much for your response...I feel better now for sure. I am downloading some music now, but I am sure after I am done I will start re downloading the expansions and base game!
