What used to be a laboring method of simming i have found the sweetest way yet. The IPAD sims version.   
I downloaded this very useful item from the sims3 website, and have found it to be very useful indeed.

Your sims can learn
Charisma
Cooking
Gardening
Handiness
Fishing
Writing
Logic

And the BONUS is that your sim can be learning the same skill at the same time as listening to a tabcast from the tablet, or paint or workout. you can listen to the tabcast also when teaching your toddler to walk and potty train.

HOWEVER this tabcast bonus does not work when socialising, sleeping or showering.
 
You can listen to the tabcast over and over again until the skill is maxed, then it disappears from the tabcast list.

You can personalise this piece with a nice colour trim also. I have found this to be invaluable when playing sims and starting new lifes or switching households. You can enjoy more of the awesome things like crashing parties, going to the park, going for a jog, playing with the children, teaching your teen to drive.

You can start it from when the sims are children also, i just recently tested this.

It is cheating skill sets, however you get to enjoy the game alot more

also bonus is you can buy your books from the tablet also, for the cooking fanatic, or heavy muso

Thanks for making sure we knew. Actually, we have an article coming to list most of the good store objects that actually add to gameplay. I myself would not buy decorative objects, but given what we pay for Expansions to get new features, some of these items could get me to buy some Simpoints in the future. That article should be out within a few weeks.
