Create a Sim Crashing - Yet Another Sims Problem

My second big problem in awhile, but this time much bigger. Now, whenever I enter create a sim, or go to modify one of my sims when playing a household, the game will freeze, and then crash and have a message about some video failure. Then I have to reset my computer to use it again. I have tried tons of things to fix it. I have re-downloaded the main game and all the expansion and stuff packs and system restored all the way back to April 1st, with neither of those being successful. I have all the expansions, and tons of downloaded content (ALL Free things in Sim Store, and some stuff bought with the free 2000 sim points), if that might be the problem. I have never downloaded any mod or anything like that. I really need help, as I can't survive without playing sims...

Have you installed anything at all from the Sims 3 Exchange?

Pam, thank you for your concern. I figured out the problem. It turns out my video card needed to be updated. But to answer your questions anyways, no I havn't downloaded anything from the exchange, because I've heard some people can put viruses in their content that goes into your computer once you download it. Anyways, problem solved, but thanks Pam, it's nice to know someone wanted to help .
