Elders and rocking chairs

Has anyone else noticed elders love their rocking chairs? I made a large family, and the old man keeps going into my room i share with my wife and sitting on the rocking chair all day. It got to the point where i had to put one in his room so he would stay out.

I've only played this family for a few days, and the old man is in the rocking chair all day and none of the others really care about those chairs. I figured maybe it was just the elders.

Everyone likes them. I have ghost twins (Young Adult) and they fight over a rocking chair in the living room, all day. I have two right next to each other, but they always battle over the same one.

In my first attempt at a life states dynasty, my two living sims didn't really use the rocking chair that much on their own. However, there was a ghost on the lot who would use it every time he haunted the lot. I thought it was amusing, so I kept the rocking chair around just for him.

i have a vampire who loves the rocking chair, its on the porch and she goes there when she is bored, it happens all the time day or night.
She sits down and her fun goes up and up and up. 'Sigh'   No she doesn't have insane or any of those types..
its fun to watch.

I'm not surprised - I have a file where I stuck the elixir consignment store in a town other than Moonlight Falls, and nearly every time my sim wants to take a nap in the rocking chair (much more time-efficient than sleeping at the fire station, just saying), she has to engage one of two sims who have been hanging out there in brief conversation just so she can snag the chair. Both of the sims in question are elderly ladies, probably sisters (I don't remember their names and it's not a town I use often). The other regulars there don't seem to be quite as interested in it, not yet anyway.

I have two rocking chairs on the front porch, one by the fireplace in family room and one in the masterbed room in front of the fireplace.  One of my sims is always in one of them.  When the twins came, often one would take one of the babies with them and sit and rock.

The zombies fight over the two on the porch also, it can be quite cute as they end up playing musical chairs.

I had one on the porch of the last family I created. You should have seen the Paprazzi fight over it. And yes the elder male patriarch of the family love it too. The thing I like about is that sims can gain energy by using it. It helps if I don't want them to go to bed quite yet, but they need some energy to stay active.
