Cannot spot traps

I started a new game and my sim cannot spot traps. i.e. there's no interaction options with the floor where the traps are hidden (there should be some option like "check here"? I don't know the exact phrase cuz I don't play with the english version). The last game I've played has the option, but now my sim can only step into the trap to make it visible 

any help, please?

Tried and failed. Reinstalling the game doesn't work either.
