Windows 7 update & The sims 3.

My laptop is new, and I can work my game on high graphic's with no problems, until window 7 sent a new update to my laptop. I've been having trouble downloading it, as it fails everytime time. I've looked on the internet for help but it's not got me anywhere. My sim's game is now laggy and I need to download this window's update! I don't know if this helps but the error I'm getting is (800b018000) and it's for Service pack 1.

Can you tell me what the update is that's failing? If you click on the update in Windows Update (assuming you're using Windows 7), you can see a description in the right-side panel that includes a Knowledge Base article. If you can find that for me, I can look it up and see what the description is.

I was unable to find anything on the specific error code. Searching for the error code in Google lead me straight back here as the only result. Weird...
