I have a normal human coloured fairy and a green witch. Their baby is purple!

Nice! I had a purple fairy and human coloured fairy (I used an elixir on him so he just grew wings) and their baby is normal human colour with the same blue-and-red hair as her mum.

I had triplets today born on the rainbow slider (the darker one). Dad was a pink human and Mom was an in-game fairy (Marigold Maldano).  All three girls were fairies: one was blue, another dark brown, and the last was pinkish.  When they are infants they have sparkley dust that surrounds them and then when they become toddlers their sparkley dust becomes their wings.

So cute!! I love it how they're all different colors and have different colored wings!

I am a little confused with how to do this on my sims game. Is the rainbow slider referring to the skin colour options we have in CAS and you just choose 2 varied shades on the same slider or is there actually a rainbow slider somewhere and I just can't see it?

Please if anyone be kind enough to show me how to do this that would be great. I would love to make cute rainbow nooboos :D

If you're patched up to the latest patch (1.38), you'll get a set of new skintone sliders in CAS. There are three icons that look kind of similar when you're selecting a skin color; they're kind of teal in color. One is a simple teal skin slider. The other two are rainbow sliders (one is more pastel in color, the other much more bright). So yes, there is an actual rainbow slider.

Instead of regular skin colors, where the sliders go from lightest to darkest for one general color, the rainbow one is comprised of many different colors that don't really vary in darkness.

If you have the Supernatural patch, there are new skin sliders.  Two of them are rainbow sliders which means there are a lot of colors on both sliders instead of just tan, dark, pale, blue, green and red like before.  So if you choose a skin tone for two sims on opposite ends of the rainbow sliders they're children can be anywhere in between.
