Problem With Chess Tables

I believe this issue has started with installation of the latest patch.
I cannot place chairs with the chess tables. I've tried it with every chess table, and numerous different chairs. Normally, the chairs will snap to be placed closer to the chess table so that sims can sit and play. Now, they will go onto the tile beside the chess table, but not any closer. It says "Can't intersect other objects."
I don't have any mods.
Has anyone else noticed this?

O.o I don't have the problem, and I have all games (but Katy Perry's) and all patches.

Maybe you game is glitched... or maybe it's just the savegame (it souns weird, but happens), have you tried in different households/worlds?

Or maybe is a CC issue. Bad/old CC is evil.

The only CC I have is from the sims 3 store. Could just be the save file, never thought of that.
