Fountain of Youth Help

I just made one of my male sims who was 4 days away from elder drink from the fountain of youth, he also wished for youth. When I clicked to drink from the fountain again it was greyed out and said he is already experiencing permanent youth.

Does this mean he won't age up at all anymore? And if so how can I reverse it?

I'm not familiar with the fountain itself, but there are a couple of things you can do:

1) Check his age bar. Is he still an adult at the same age, or did it reset? Watch it for a day or two - does it progress, or stay put?
2) Does he have any moodlets that could yield hints?

If it's a permanent age-stop (like the age freeze LTR), then the only ways to age him up are either with the aging elixir from Supernatural (Elixir of Instant, I think), or with a birthday cake.
