Help needed: Makeover person missing
« on: June 20, 2010, 04:17:13 PM »
I have a newly-created stylist sim who has a job want of making over Anges Crumplebottom (Agnes wants new formal wear).

This is her first stylist assignment. Agnes isn't at the salon and I can't find her on the map.

How do I complete this job? How do I get Agnes to the salon or find her to complete it at her location? My sim has been to work for 3 days and Agnes still wants to be styled with no sign of her anywhere obvious. I did try checking the map view and there's no opportunity star anywhere.

Already tried to call her?

No, I haven't tried calling her. I have to check if my sim even knows her. Thanks for the suggestion, will give it a try when I get home.

What level is your Stylist?  Are you at the point where you can do makeovers away from the salon or is all work still done there?  Also, on the notification in the upper right corner, if there's a picture of Agnes, click on it and it will take you straight to her.

She's a brand new stylist, this is her first job.

I don't think there's a picture of Agnes, just her name. But, I will check that when I get home.

Being new to the profession, your Sim has to do all makeovers at the salon.  Sometimes the Sim who wants a makeover has something come up and they don't make it to the appointment.  You can just cancel that notification and move on to the next job.

I had the exact same thing happen when I tried my luck at styling for the very first time, and I too waited days for the person to appear.
By far the easiest thing to do is what pam suggested, simply decline it and wait for a new one :)

I won't get the chance till this weekend, but I will either try tracking down Agnes (calling her if I know her in case I can invite her to the salon) or just delete the app't.

Thanks

I doubt it will do any good to track Agnes down.  At level 1, you can't do makeovers anywhere but at the salon.  If Agnes didn't keep her appointment on that day, it's not likely you'll be able to do it at all, or at least not get the proper money or credit for it.
