Hello! I want to share something interesting that happen in my game today. Some glitch that I found hilarious because it reflects a father complex situation.
I recently started a new game file in Hidden Springs with no unofficial mods installed. My Sim, Johan, got married to Blake ___(something) and had two girls (Ekaterina & Irina) when this glitch happened. I decided to enroll Irina to a boarding school as a child and she has one free day before she has to depart. I made use of that one day to increase her relationship with Johan. I ended up getting bestfriends for that. Things go on rather well and Irina departed to her boarding school.
With the moment of relative quietness, I made Johan and Blake romance each other and Woohoo. Imagine my surprise when Ekaterina got the free will to be upset with Johan and got the betrayed moodlet! I notice that things went wrong then. When I hover over Johan's icon in relationship bar, instead of Blake his wife under partner he had Irina! Johan and Ekaterina's relationship went to the red. The strange thing is that to the parents, nothing seems to be out of place. Johan did not get a cheating moodlet.
I don't want such inconsistency to be the case so I had Johan to divorce Blake and make them remarry afterwards. I managed to recover their relationships with Ekaterina as well.
Currently Irina is still away in boarding school with Blake (her own mother!) declared as her enemy because I made Blake to ask Johan to end relationship with Irina. I tried to have Blake calling her but she wouldn't take her call
. I'll update again when Irina is back from boarding school (and hopefully I can save the mother-daughter relationship).
Just curious, do any simmers out there ever experienced similar situation?
