Missing Van Goulds (homeless)

I was really excited at the prospect of playing them only to drive the Tristan dude insane and test out the newer deaths on him, but I was completely disappointed to realize that my game is borked and they are missing. Not completely, they are still in the town, but they are homeless. The mansion is there all lovely and overly expensive but empty. So, I was wondering if anybody would be kind enough to pack the household and send it to me? I would be very grateful.

Welcome to our Forum.

It's possible that Story Progression moved the family out of their house.  If you start a new game, they will be back in place and it's not likely that they will move out again because Story Progression works randomly.  You could even use a new game to save them to the library and then place them in your original game.  You really don't need anyone to send the family to you.

Posting this here was as a last resort, after discovering that they are missing from any game, either older saves or starting a new game. In any new game I start, the issue persists, they're there, but they're homeless. Thank you for your time either way ^^

Are they supposed to start as townies in a specific house?  Or do they start the game homeless?

They start the game homeless, the house they're supposed to occupy is up for sale at the point of entering a new game. And I suppose they're homeless because I've seen Tristan around town occasionally, but he's not in any other household, in one game he was moved in with that Swain girl tho. But I'm not sure about the rest of the family, I don't even know how many more of them are they...


edit: After the third clean complete re-install, the issue seems to have gone away. Thank you Pam for your time.
