Editing supernatural in CAS
« on: September 05, 2012, 12:30:16 AM »
Using testingcheatsenable true I've been going around town trying different household and taking people into CAS to edit them. It's not working as I had hoped.
I changed a human to a witch and it seemed to work ok. She could practice spells.
Changing a human to a werewolf I didn't get a option in CAS to edit the werewolf form but they could change to a werewolf in live mode and do the other werewolf stuff
That's all I tried with humans so far and they seem to mostly work.

Tried changing a vampire to a werewolf and again no option to edit werewolf form. Back in live mode he was still a vampire Could still hunt, read minds and drink blood. Same thing when I tried making him human.

Also tried changing a ghost, werewolf and a genie and after taking them back into live mode they was still the supernatural they was before editing them in CAS.
So far the only one it seems to really work on is changing a human to something else. The rest may have to rely on potions and spells to make any changes.

If someone else tries this with better results I would love to know.

And I was trying this with a mod free game.

I've heard there were some issues with editing werewolf in wolf form in CAS, I'm sure someone (probably a modder out there) is working on it as we speak.

I don't doubt there will be a mod to fix anything like that. Changing them with a mod might already work. I haven't put my mods back in and tried it yet. Will have to try putting MasterController back in tomorrow and change them with it and see if I get the same results.

I put MasterController back in and tried changing them using it and it worked better.
Changed a vampire to a werewolf and he lost all the vampire abilities and gain the werewolf abilities. But taking him back into CAS after I still didn't have the option to edit his werewolf form.
Changed a genie to a witch and she lost all her genie abilities and was able to cast spells and everything like a witch should. She also lost her blue skin tone and went to a normal human skin tone.
I tried it with a few others and every time the change worked like expected. So it seems that twallan did a better job than EA did.

I would ask whether you were using the latest version of the mod, but I'm sure you checked for an update before putting the mod back in.

So asking would be silly of me. :)

It never hurts to ask, but yes I have the latest version of all you mods that I use which is most of them. :) I just haven't put them all in yet.
I wanted to test the game without the mods first the will start adding them back in a couple at a time

I ask because the one I released last night should unlock the "Transform" button in "Edit in CAS".

Prior to that, the option was only available under Edit Town - Create a Household. :)

I'm using Version 88 of both MasterController and MasterControllerCheats. I just downloaded them this morning.
I'll go back in the game and try it again.

Ok, I figured it out. If I take them into CAS using testingcheatsenabled I don't get the transform button for the werewolf, but if I take them into CAS using MasterController I get the transform button.
So as long as I make my changes and edits using MasterController all is good.
Thank you twallan. :)
