I'm ready to F-L-I-P!
I have a firefighter that is level 10. He has maxed athletic and handiness skills, however, his truck is slower than molasses in January! I have improved the horsepower to level 3. I have maintained it, as well as the alarm in the firehouse yet, every time there is an emergency, that (insert not nice word here) truck is SLOW. I mean SUPER SLOW! IT'S RIDICULOUS! I had to restart my game and teleport him because he missed his award ceremony the first time. I bought him the fastest car available (no custom content) and made that his preferred car, but it doesn't matter where I tell him to go, that stupid truck shows up instead of his car!
What makes it worse, is that his job performance is always yellow, even though I complete jobs with a grade A, and have befriended all my coworkers. His lifetime wish is to save 30 Sim's and he has saved 15 thus far, but I'm really beginning to question that wish because you don't have control over the emergencies that I know of. Meaning, that the jobs show up randomly and not all jobs involve saving a sim. He's an adult with 10 days left to age, set at normal.
The only 2 things in the fire house I know you can maintain are the alarm and the truck. Is that it? Did I miss something?
I did the brave, athletic Sim because I wanted to try the Firefighter thing but honestly, this has been more trouble than its worth.
Does anyone else have this issue? Can you improve the horsepower past level 3? My only option when I click on the truck is maintain, and I never let it fall below 90. Am I missing something, or is this normal?
Also, on a lighter note - He recently was called out to a small house fire. After saving the Sims, I sent him downstairs to extinguish the flames in the lobby. When he got there, Vladamir was there with an extinguisher, even though he is not part of the fire team which I thought was pretty funny considering he was a Vampire. I was thinking "Self Preservation"!
