Script errors since patch update yesterday

hi,  I have seen two problems since I did the the patch update 1.38 yesterday Sept 2, 2012.  I removed my mods and re-downloaded & installed them later in the afternoon when they became available.  Both of these issues occurred during the time without the mods & continue after the mods have been re-installed so I don't think they are the problem.

1 -  all my gardens are not working properly.  My sims wouldn't garden without constant prompting and then the plants gave no produce, also the trees looked like two trees together, a mid size and full size tree combined.  I've had to delete the plants and replant.  I've done this for 3 gardens now all in different neighbourhoods.  That seems to be solving the issue, however every household I have has a garden.  Lots of gardening ahead for me.  I can deal with this problem albeit time consuming.

2 - and the bigger issue - when my dog goes hunting and brings home his gems/ores, I place them on the ground from the dog's backpack and either have my sim put them in the mailbox from the ground or I've been placing them in his backpack and then have him deal with the mailbox.  Either way the owner is reset everytime he uses the mailbox and for each item.  He is moved to another spot near the mailbox.  I then get a message 'NRaas Error Trap / script error / char name'.  I have tried re-setting the dog and owner several times - also re-downloaded & installed the mods 3 times and restarted the computer each time.  All to no avail.  This does not occur with the sim when he mails his own gems/ores.  Only the dog's items.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and how to remedy it?

Issue 1 is a known problem with the patch. Nothing you can do other than what you have already done.

Issue 2, no idea.

ummm...Thanks.  I had a feeling the garden thing was with the patch.  Will they have to patch the patch? ;)

Also adding to the problem...When he gets the gems/ores back from the mail (the dog's items), I drag them from the owners backpack to the delete/sell square and they appear on the ground near the mailbox.  I have to drag & delete/sell them again.

In another hood, my sim bought a book, read it at the store and was reset home.  He also can't shop for groceries.  He goes in and is promptly reset back to home with a script error.  Once he disappeared completely along with his icon.  Just the cat living at the house.  I exited without saving.

If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.  I'm using Twinbrook and I have 3 characters there all in different houses.  One can use the plaza book/grocery store but the other 2 can't, reset with script errors.  I tried everything I could think of.  I've even started a new town and replaced the 3 characters with copies of them from the library, older saved versions. I also replanted their gardens to hopefully to solve that problem.   The one character is my favourite and very accomplished.  I'm sure hoping the problem isn't with him although since 2 can't use the store I don't think so.  Every time he uses the plaza, he's constantly reset with a script error.  This has happened since the 1.38 update.  The problem still exists.  Is it possible Twinbrook or the store itself is the problem.  Is anyone else having this issue.  I don't know what else to try.

My other problem (posted at top) with the dog and owner's mailbox also continues.  The town is Sunset Valley.  Has anyone been able to conquer the update problems.

Hi Bear.

Your second issue is related to a mod, so I suggest you ask about it on the Modifications Board.  The technical issues we discuss on this board are strictly for the Sims 3 original game, not modifications.

Also, I edited your first post to remove the red text.  Please use just black in your posts.  You may use bold, italics, or underscore for emphasis instead of colors.
