Ordering Omni Plant Seeds
« on: September 26, 2011, 12:16:52 PM »
I have 6 sims and I am expecting 5 to die soon, due to old age. One of my elders has nearly completed the omni plant opportunity. I wanted to know whether my young adult (gardening level 10) will be able to order the omni plant seeds when my elder dies or whether the young adult has to complete the opportunity.

Only sims that complete the opportunity can order the seeds.

Yep, it's one of those things. You must train every sim yourself in fulfilling this opportunity if you want to give them that power. There was a bug involved in where you can not order omni plants anymore, but that seems to have been changed. I hope it still works.

If you want a sim who can order omniplants for you and you don't mind who it is you can download Max Skills, if you want.

That's a piece of self promotion displayed right there by Leto.  ;D

If you want them to have the seeds, you could just order a lot before the sim with the opp dies. Or you could grow a life fruit plant so that the one with the opp will live forever.

Of you could grow a life fruit plant so that the one with the opp will live forever.

Or a death flower bush, but that works too.

Regarding the bug when ordering Omni plant seeds, I don't think it's been fixed.  However, there's a good work around for it.

1.  Command your Sim to order the Omni seeds at the mailbox.
2.  Cancel the action before it happens.

For some odd reason, this works and the new Omni seeds arrive the next day.  Just be careful that your Sim is far enough away from the mailbox that he/she can't hit the dead end of the bug.  If your Sim makes it to the mailbox, it won't work.

Oh no, it wasn't meant like that!

But what I can do for you glacier, is uploading a lot with omni-plants to the Swap Shop, if I still have that file. It's 10x10 and the plants are in a World Adventures chest. Do you have that expansion? If not, I will get them out of that box first.

Worked a treat. I cancelled the action before my sim got to the mailbox and the next day my seeds arrived. Thank you Pam.
