Need Help with Late Night!

I have a problem. I have almost every expansion and stuff packs(World Adventures, Late Night, Generations, Showtime, Ambitions, High&Loft, Fast Lane, Outdoor Living, Master Suite, Katy Perry's Sweet Treats, Town Life, Pets) and recently a problem appeared.

Many stuff from Late Night have disappeared and some of them got replaced by other stuff from other packs. Also many icons like celebrity icons and wishes are not shown and appear as a blank with the description only. The things I can remember being lost are my piano, drums, keyboard and bass. Also vampires' photos won't appear as well. So I assume there's something wrong with my Late Night pack and I decided to uninstall and reinstall it again. But the question is; will I lose everything from lots to sims and saved games if I uninstall this one pack?

Please help! I can't part with my piano and drums!

Hi, giotadinasaur. Welcome to the forum.

Something to try before completely re-installing the game is to do a Factory Reset. Then, check to see if the items are restored in a new game. If not, then I would re-install the whole set, but make sure you back up your The Sims 3 folder first.

Hello, Flynn.

First of all thanks for the welcome! Secondly I read your suggestion and saw the instructions to do a Factory Reset but I'm not really good with english terms and I was scared of making any mistakes. So I took the risk and uninstalled and reinstalled the pack, after I did a back up save of my saved games in another hard disk.

The good thing is everything's normal in my game now and the stuff from Late Night are back, hopefully! Unluckily all the saved games from my sister's account in the pc were lost. Fortunately I had them backed up in the other hard disk as well.

So if anyone else has the same problem with me I'd recommend they back up The Sims 3(from all users who play the game in the pc or laptop) folder somewhere and then uninstall the defective pack and reinstall it.
