My sim's Martial Arts is broken

I'm trying to complete the full Dragon Cave chain. On my trip to China, everything works fine the first day, but the second, if I try to spar with someone (whether regular or ranked), they'll go through the social part, but rather than spinning into MA uniforms and sparring, they'll just continue to socialize. There are a few other similar glitches - if I have another one of my sims "train" the one with the adventure, it works fine until the point at which the trainer starts yelling. When I went to visit another house, the "be invited inside" action never completed.

I've cleared caches with no luck, and this is my Dynasty game so no mods are allowed. It won't be the end of the world if I can't complete this, but if anyone knows of a fix I'd be interested...

That's strange, I have a sim doing Martial Arts and I don't have that problem, it sounds like a bug. Have you tried resetsim? Do you use any CC? Do you have a backup save you can go back to? Sorry I can't be much help, I'm just tryng to go through options for you, it does sound like a glitch though.  Good luck, hope you get it sorted.

Reset all the sims repeatedly. No CC other than store content. I've already gone back to a backup save from before going to China, but it's happened twice before starting from the same save. I'm torn between "wait until next midnight and see if everything irons itself out" as works sometimes - plus, I should see if MA works for other sims or if it's just this one. If it's just this one I'll see if dropping the adventure helps - I know I'm going to need to break a space rock block and win the tournament, and I can do those without the adventure slot filled.

It sounds like the adventure is broken, I never got part two of the Dragon Cave (Only part one) and it was one of my non martial artist sims doing it anyway. Have you tried cancelling the adventure and retaking it? For some reason I couldn't seem to get the Dong Huo adventure, it didn't show up once.  Maybe try doing the adventure with another sim? My martial artist just did martial arts and it works fine except for incident where her tournament opponent didn't show up for a few days but that fixed itself. (Game spawned another opponent).
