Desert House (1 bd. 1 ba.)
« on: July 21, 2012, 11:45:23 PM »
The Desert House is a small home perfect for an established single Sim or Sim couple. Most of the inspiration came from the various styles around Lucky Palms and memories of houses and mobile homes from the 1970s. A few modern touches are thrown in as well.

I created the home for Amber Andrews, a Sim created based on an image from the PS3 splash screen for the game. Of course, the house can be used for any Sim in any town.

Name: Desert House
Lot Size: 20 x 20
Bedrooms: 1
Bathrooms: 1
Cost unfurnished: $23,104
Cost furnished: $40,893
Requires expansion/Sims 3 store/Swap Shop content:
Can this lot be used in a story?: Yes

Description:
Amber Andrew's new home in Lucky Palms. It's small and cozy, with a back patio perfect for throwing parties.

I really like your floor plan. It's very functional and aesthetically appealing.

Thanks. :)

I started with the basic shell with the plan of doing a studio style house. But there wasn't much room left for the bedroom, so I tacked that on to the back and decided to use the little nook for the car port.

It was a fun house to build and it should be fun to play in. I'm working on another house, so I haven't had a chance to play out Amber's story yet.

I love it, Flynn, and really it is small enough it can go anywhere, not just Lucky Palms.  Very compact and well laid out and reasonable in price too.
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

I love this! It's small but still has a very nice layout and is very well decorated. Good job!  :D
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.
