Stop aging potion
« on: July 21, 2012, 04:09:09 AM »
I purchased the stop aging potion lifetime reward for my sim. He drank it, it worked. But today I was playing and happened to click on the tab to read his traits (I had forgotten) and noticed the bar had moved and his age was counting down. You can't buy the potion again and him being immortal is kinda important... He's a time traveler who goes by the name Doctor.

So does anyone know of a way I can stop him from aging again? My backup saves have the same problem. I'm looking for something that won't require upkeep because I'm playing other households in the town and don't want to have to watch him. And turning the aging off across the board kinda defeats his story  :(

Thanks guys

Welcome to the Forum!

Do you mind using Mods? If so, Buzzler's Aging Manager Mod might be what you're after.

I'm assuming you don't want to go the ambrosia route?  Do you have the funds for that magic fountain thing?  It's very expensive but supposedly it will keep aging away.  Do you have enough logic skill to be able to make a Young Again potion at the chemistry table?
What?  Grannies can't play games?
I speak perfect Nooblik, (and some Simlish)!

This isn't very helpful but is his full name Dr. Who?  And is his time machine a phone booth?  :)

Why yes his full name IS Doctor Who. And his time machine is as close to TARDIS blue as I could get it. He always has a death flower and whenever he dies I change his appearance.

All those things have occurred to me except the fountain because i have no idea what that is. If worse comes to worse I'll do that but I really wanted a zero maintenance solution. I'll try a mod first like Seabody suggested.

The Fountain of Youth comes with the Hidden Springs town.  I don't think it can be purchased separately, but once you have the town your Sim can purchase it for - I think - somewhere around $75,000.  Drinking from the fountain makes your Sim one day younger.

Actually it costs §495,000.  The only reason I know this is I have bought it on occasion to get rid of money.

Your Sims must be a lot richer than mine!  ;)

It can't. I just bought some Premium Content (The Baby Swing and the MultiTab) and that wasn't in the catalogue.

That is such an awesome idea for a Sims game!  I hope you figure out your problem.  Sorry I didn't have any helpful thoughts.
