Aimee's Letter
« Reply #105 on: August 13, 2013, 03:14:25 PM »
We recently got a letter from little Aimee, my cousin, about life in Monte Vista after we left.

Aimee's Letter

Hello there, family. Aimee here reporting on our life in Monte Vista after you abandoned us.

Well, first off, we found a nice little house inside the wall. It has three bedrooms, one for Emmy and Alessandra (saying Mum is too confusing), one for me and a nursery. My room is PINK at the moment but that's going to change... as soon as possible.

And the other news? I have a baby brother now. Oh yeah, he's just so cute. Everyone loves little Freddie cutie face. Lovely, cutie, smiley Freddie. Freddie, Freddie, Freddie!

But I am the older sister! I have all the power! Mwahahahahaha!

Emmy and Alessandra have been keeping themselves busy by writing and cooking. Boring!

So I wish you love and all that stuff. I'll write soon (but only if you write back to me because that is totally not fair if I'm doing all the work!)

Aimee (I wrote it - I should get 100% of the credit!), Emmy, Alessandra and (stupid baby cutie face) Freddie.

Aimee: What?! I'm not jealous of baby smelly-face!

Haha, yeah, I think she is a teeny bit jealousy.

Aimee: Am not!

This is great so far!  I love Monte Vista and did my ID there.  Reading your chapters made me all wistful :)

Thanks, Tilia! Monte Vista is actually my favourite town so I'm sad that they've left now. But I do have other favourites that the family is yet to visit  :D

Chapter 30 - Favourite Things
« Reply #110 on: August 17, 2013, 02:09:18 PM »
I can't believe it. Little Ellie and Sherlock are kids already. Can you believe it? Can you??

Well, they are. And here they are in their everyday and formal outfits.

Ellie:

Sherlock:

We all woke up one morning to find that our old mobile phones had been replaced with fancy-pants smart phones. My theory is that the Tooth Fairy has gotten sick of teeth and has decided to take your phone instead and replace it with a new one. But Dad says that it is part of an 'Expansion Pack'. I don't know what that is supposed to mean but I think my theory is more likely...

Anyway, we've all been getting acquainted with our new high-tech devices. Karin and I posted a picture of ourselves on Simbook.

Dad was a bit unfamiliar with this kind of technology but he eventually found out how to make a call.

In other news, Jack came home for a day because he had rung Mum to tell her that he hated Smugglesworth and wanted to leave. Poor Jack. His Mummy was there to give him a big hug when he came home.

He told her that he still wanted to further his education at boarding school but decided that Dribbledine Sports Academy would be a better fit for him. So he set off again the next day.

Ellie and Sherlock met some kids that live on the other side of town and went over there one evening to get to know each other better. Karin and I met when we were kids so perhaps one of them could be my future son or daughter-in-law!

Their names are Katherine and Nick (shortened from some bizarre variation of Nicolas) and my twins told me that they are very nice. Ellie tried to win a new friend through good conversation...

Ellie: ... so in the end, I didn't touch the rest of my chicken and fed it to the cat.
Nick: Fascinating!

However Sherlock went for a rather more direct approach...

Sherlock: Hey, watch this!

Katherine: Haha, good one, Sherlock! Look at this one!

Life is quite peaceful at the moment so we spend our time doing our favourite things like...

Chemistry...

Playing Guitar...

Computer games...

Having Mud baths...

Pillow-fighting...

Hot-tubbing...

Playing with Lasers...

And yoga (well, that's what it looked like to me!)...

I've been trying to play this file but with no success. I think it may have corrupted as it crashes within minutes of opening it and during that time it is painfully slow. I've tried clearing my caches and also looked up fixes on the internet but I haven't been able to solve it. I suppose I could go back to the end of Monte Vista but then Ellie and Sherlock wouldn't exist and I'd have to play nearly the entire generation again and I don't want to do that. While it pains me to say goodbye to my Bedlingtons, I think it would be better if I started again. Sorry to everybody that was reading this.  :(

That's such a shame Snuffles. I really enjoyed your story and I'll be reading your others. I've just seen the link and I'm going to check it out.

It is sad when that happens, and I will miss them also.  Sherlock, he is such a great character.

Hoping that you can start another family and it work out.  I have enjoyed your style of story telling

Sorry to hear of your game problems, Snuffles.  It's so frustrating when things like that happen.  I'll move your story to the Graveyard as you've requested.  Hope you have better luck next time!
