Sim 1 is single and sim 2 is married to sim 1, apparently.

This is pretty random but for some reason (about 20 days into the game), having asked Gunther and Cornelia Goth if they are single, Cornelia says that her husband is Gunther and Gunther says that he is single. I don't remember who I asked first. I then got another one of my sims who didn't know Gunther or Cornelia to ask Cornelia if she is single, and she said no, married to Gunther, however, Gunther still appears as single when I put my mouse over him in the list of friends that the sims who asked them both and knows them both has.

What does this mean, and is it common?

Also, strangely, Gunther and Cornelia no longer live in the Goth household, they moved somewhere and the house is now inhabited by the Teen Mortimer and Victoria and Beau Andrews - this seems an incredibly strange thing to happen in story progression.

I often have townies move out of their original homes. I once had Morgana and Thornton move in to a starter home with their two kids. I also have had Gunther and Cordelia move out and leave Mortimer at Goth mannor story progresion can be very strange sometimes.

Yeah, story progression can be very interesting sometiems  , I just thought it strange that Cornelia and Gunther would leave, leaving the Teenage Mortimer dependant on Vic and Beau Andrews...gotta love story progression sometimes

Yeah, story progression is very weird. The Keaton household always moves out of their home two days into the game. But it's good for me because I love that house!
