Can't Connect to thesims3.com

Recently, I have re-installed the game. Thereafter, my Mac can't connect to the website of Sims3 with the game launcher even using Safari. Only a page shown "Oops! We are not able to process your request."

Please help! I can access my account to download items in thesims3.com.
Now I realize playing the Sims 3 on Mac is playing the game of installation and uninstallation...

I'm afraid I couldn't find the post but you need to delete cookies? I had to go to the top task bar select Safari > Preferences > Privacy then click details.

Find The Sims in the list and then click remove. When finished click done.

I'm not technologically inclined but this worked for me (and no problems for about a month now) but perhaps if anyone finds the post/has better advice follow that rather :)
