Pictures disappearing from the digital photo frames

I've had this problem for ages and see others have as well, but searching has not found me an answer to why it happens or how to stop it...  When I load photos my Sims have taken into the digital frames (wall versions) they disappear upon reloading the game.  They are still *in* the frame - I haven't lost the photo - it's just that I get the ugly default sploch showing and I have to take the photo out, and then put back in again, to reset.  Which is a royal pain when you have dozens of photos in a house.   

Why is this happening?  How can I stop it?  I'm on a Mac if that matters.  And I have all the expansion packs and updates up to Showtime.

Did you place the frame with "Moveobjects on" on?

It happen to me all the time. Just click on the frame and choose start slide show.

Hi, Smile - I don't use that cheat very often but just in case it was on when I placed the most recent frames in question I tried replacing the them with no cheats turned on and it didn't work. Still no pictured upon game reboot.    

I also thought that just maybe this info was held in one of the cache files I so frequently toss out and tested that - No, not the cache files either.
