I see ;-). I'll probably (spelling?) feel the same way, I guess. Getting annoyed with so many Sims in the household I mean ;-). I don't want it to be that way, I just want to get over the first 2 generations bump. I want it to be like: "I maxed a skill! I want to max more! No matter how many Sims I control, I want to max more!"" But unfortunately I doubt it :-(. But I can't resist  ;-). I've read through 30 pages, I think, in the Immortal Dystany thread but gave up haha. To much to read, and so eager to get started :-p. I've bought two notebooks, one for stories, and one for keeping track of all the restrictions. I hope to get started tomorrow, but with a Beagle puppy in the house, I don't know how much I'll get to play :-( :-p.

I started my townie decadynasty and I played a sim week right there, I really really like it! I think I much prefer a challenge where everything is already set up and you can dive right into spouse hunting. :D There isn't a "slow" beginning period with that challenge, coud be one you could look at. :)

At this time most challenges sound amazing :-). But the DecaDynasty sounds a bit confusing  :-[. I've tried to read the rules a couple of times (not enough yet ;-)), and haven't read the whole thread yet. But I might try it :-) -when I get it lol

I have only tried the Random legacy challenge before. Made it to the 3rd generation, then got distracted by CAW. But I will definitely  continue. For me, I kept it interesting by moving houses and sometimes worlds, otherwise the money piles up and making a living becomes less challenging. I really want to get into either the Immortal dynasty or Decadynasty... though I admit the latter is more confusing.   :-\

I usually move, when my sim has enough money, but it can take a lot of time, until it can happen in Legacies (or Dynasties ;-)). I have started my Immortal Dynasty, and so far, I'm having a lot of fun :-)! I hardly doubt I'll manage to have someone to paint my Founder before she'll age up, but I'll try :-).

I doing my first Dynasty right now.  Usually, in normal ganes, I only play for one or two generations, and my second generation is still a infant, but I'm hoping I can stick with it since it is more structured than how I usually play.  Also, I guess I can't really comment, but I think the first generation is hardest since you have the least money, and you have to master so many skills in three life stages.  Your immortal has to supermax one (which is extra hard), your non-immortals have to max/ almost max three or four depending on your founders supermax.

I welcome suggestions and constructive criticism about any of my builds on their threads.

I think getting a dynasty done all depends on your mindset when you start one.  My mindset fluctuates as I play my game because it likes to throw me curve balls that I'm having fun working with.

For an Immortal Dynasty, you have to think that you need at least level 7 gardening, at least level 5 fishing & the ability to fish with bait, level 7 painting and level 10 cooking.     You can have your founder do any of these except the painting.  The most important thing regarding a dynasty is actually getting painting first.  Not the heir, not the founder's supermax, not the fishing or gardening (although you should start that early on).  Painting level 7 for another Sim is the most important thing for a dynasty founder.  Whether you bring in a new friend or a new mate, painting level 7 needs to happen first and within 2 weeks.   Depending on what town you live in, there are Sims that already have a high painting skill that you can move in to get it out of the way to reduce the stress of that first generation.  If they don't have painting skill, I recommend small paintings but that is also personal opinion and debated.  Having a founder take on fishing, gardening or cooking is another way to help reduce the stress because your founder is also working on something that has to be done anyway.

I have failed four or five dynasties when I was first trying them because I was unable to get the painting for my founder in time.

As for the DecaDynasty, If you've having problems understanding it, just ask (in the thread of course).  It's a wonderful challenge and no one will think differently of you if you can't figure it out.  We had to all figure it out too at one point.

Thank you, Ricalynn :-). I'm having a lot of fun so far :-). My founder is maxing cooking and almost gardening. I'm planing for her to paint a little too. Her husband takes care of fishing and painting. The 1. heir will be fishing too. I hope I'll manage everything, but if not -I'll try again :-D. So far I like how there are goals that has to be met to keep the game running. I can't wait to have my founder to eat Ambrosia.

I'll read through the rest of the threads in the DecaDynasty thread. Maybe I'll start one when I feel stressed out by all my Immortals and  their families :-D. So far I would have to ask a lot of questions :-p
