Dear Carl - Making Uneditable Lots Editable
« on: June 07, 2012, 11:30:10 PM »
About how to edit those UN-editable lots in China , India , or France.

Go into edit town:

Now with the console type

testingcheatsenabled true
press enter

next

buydebug on ---also in the console.
press enter

next

EnableLotLocking true  ----also in console
press enter

Now go to the lot in question. For example I  made those two springs where people are getting stuck and the game is lagging horribly, no visitors allowed.

Click on the lot and click the little icon that looks like a lock.
This will unlock it and allow to mod it to your hearts content -s-

It worked by the way. With both those springs no visitors allowed, my China no longer lags at all.
NPC's were getting stuck there. The pathing is bad.

That's it..
"Courage looks you straight in the eye. She is not impressed with power trippers, and she knows first aid. Courage is not afraid to weep, and she is not afraid to pray, even when she is not sure who she is praying to. When she walks it is clear she has made the journey from loneliness to solitude. The people who told me she was stern were not lying. they just forgot to mention she was kind."

Thanks for this.  I too was getting annoyed by the constant lag.  I've just returned to China so am expecting a great improvement  ;D.

Update"  It works!  You're a real Treasure :0.
