Vampire twins- one girl and one boy. How do I do it?

I made my sims Holli and Patrick both vampires and made them try for baby in a hot tub then after it announced she was pregnant she read half of a pregnancy book and only drank plasma juice during her pregnancy. Neither one of them have the fertility treatment. She gave birth to a girl and boy -Nathan and Emma- (both vampires) and then she wouldn't take care of them so social services took them away. I would like to get another pair of mix gender vampire twins, can anyone offer suggestions without using the fertility treatment or the apples and watermelons? I do not like feeding my vampire sims normal sim food, so I limit them to the Drink from Sims option, plasma fruit and plasma juice.

Try having the mum to be listen to kids music on the radio and watch kids t.v. You will most likely get twins using this method but there is no guarantee that they will be mixed gender.

Just to add to what Rachel said, mixed gender twins are much more likely now that Pets is out versus the way they were before.   Although if you had alternate saves you could have gone back to before the twins were taken away and treated them better.   Just make sure she actually interacts with them the second time.
