Hey All,
This is a variation on a theme of other's posts but this seems to be a very specific problem.
My Sims Freeze / Lag for a few seconds’ every few minutes when playing with big files. Music still plays, zzzz's move, trees still move etc but the Sims are frozen. After around 30 secs they restart. Now here is the weird thing, they don't do this in a new game, only when I've been playing them for a while. It affects all Towns and always happens when children / grandchildren turn up.
It makes a legacy impossible to do as, after second or third generation, the game is so painful to play I give up.
PC Specs are:
Toshiba Satellite Laptop
Intel core i5 Processor 2.4GHz
8GB Ram
Windows 7 (64Bit)
Windows experience index 4.7
Graphics
Intel Graphics Family, Total graphics memory 1696MB, Dedicated Memory 64MB
I have cleaned the caches and updated the DEP for all games and Stuff packs. I am patched to the latest patch. I have all expansions and stuff packs except Katy Perry and Town Life Stuff.
All the settings in the game are on Medium (graphics settings)
Help!
Any thoughts on what I can do? I want to play a legacy!

EDIT: I've defraagged after clearing the cafes and no dice, the only solution was to package them up and move to Sunset valley. I am now running a little smoother.
