How to install expansion pack into patched game?

I'd like to install the Showtime expansion pack into my Sims 3 game, but it's patched, and I don't want to get the base game so I have to install multiple sections! I have all of the Stuff and EPs except for the Showtime EP I want to install into my game.

I'm confused. You say you are patched and have the EPs and Stuff packs. You want to install Showtime, but DO NOT want to install the base game. I don't understand how you are even running the game. You have to have the base game installed in order to run the Ep's and Stuff Packs.

The Base Game has all the needed directories and files for the game. Have I missed something?

Sorry, I meant uninstalling and reinstalling the base game, along with all of the EPs and Stuff.

A lot of ppl don't buy all the EPs or SPs in order. But as long as your patches are up to date I see no problem but if you want to make sure and see if one of moderators check or another player that's fine.

Showtime is the last actual EP to be released and the only thing passed it is the Sweet Treats Stuff Pack so installing it now should give you absolutely no problems whatsoever.   I was patched up to 1.33 before I had showtime installed and it didn't give me any problems on this computer.

Why would it tell you to reinstall the base game?  You have the base game already installed correct?

I have the base game installed. Specifically, it's the Deluxe Version 4.1.1.

What did it say exactly when it asked you to reinstall the base game?  Would it be possible for you to take a print screen and post it here?  I do not mean attach the screenshot to the post.  I mean to use a hosting site like the forum's gallery or photobucket.

Necropost, but it says this:

Game unable to start. Please reinstall the base game.

This annoys me! I had to delete every instance of the game and install the Deluxe Version again.
