Game freezing. Unplayable

For about a month or so my game has been doing these freezes. And not the ones for a couple seconds either. When my game freezes I can't use any buttons and I'm forced to use the control panel to exit the game and try again. Usually I restart the game about 3 times a day. And its getting sad. I really love to play the Sims and am obsessed so I would like to get this fixed. Please help

By the way. I tried everything in the forum topic below and some things haven't applied or I haven't been able to figure out. SO please.
