Sim won't move? - Sims 3 Console
« on: June 10, 2012, 08:55:35 PM »
Hi, I'm playing Sims 3 on the Playstation 3 and I'm having some trouble. For some reason my wife won't move. She's near the top of the stairs and won't do anything. If I try to do an action like "move here" or "Sleep" she won't move. Any actions that can be done on her self, like using her cellphone or change her clothes, she will do. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening?

It's possible somewthing is stopping her from going down the stairs if thats what your trying to achieve, such as another sim or an object. My advice would be to go into build/edit mode and remove any objects near her and at the top & bottom of the stairs or if there is other sims trying to get upstairs cancel their action and move them away.

If all else fails try building new stairs or deleting and replacing the current set of stairs.

All you have to do is hold L2 and press X on the mail box. reset the sim that's stuck.

Sometimes it helps when you go to a lot that is not near your sim (go to the bookstore if you want to be sure your house isn't nearby) and then click on the building and tell your sim to go there. However, DO NOT switch to your sim! Just stay on the bookstore lot and wait for her to come. Apparently, Sims can somehow magically teleport when you're not looking  ;D
